What does a voiceover artist actually do?
A voiceover artist turns a written script into a recorded performance: commercials, explainers, documentaries, audiobooks, and brand films. That covers interpreting the copy, recording clean takes in a treated booth, editing the session, and delivering broadcast-ready files.
How much does commercial voiceover cost?
It depends on script length, where the spot plays, and how long it runs. A regional radio spot costs less than a national broadcast campaign. Send the script and the usage, and the quote comes back the same day.
What is Source Connect and do I need it?
Source Connect is remote recording software that connects your session to the booth in real time with studio-quality audio, the professional version of a phone patch. I can also do live sessions via Zoom or Google Meet and record on my end.
How fast can a voiceover be recorded and delivered?
Most reads are delivered within 24 to 48 hours of the booking. Rush same-day turnaround is usually possible when the schedule allows.
Can I direct the session live?
Yes. Sessions run over Source Connect v4 on a hardwired connection, with Zoom or phone patch as backup. Direct every take in real time, or skip the session and receive the full read with options.
What file formats do you deliver?
Broadcast-ready WAV masters at 48 kHz, plus MP3 copies for easy review. Files arrive in whatever spec your mix house wants, and unprocessed WAVs are an option if you prefer to master yourself.
Do you charge for revisions?
All scripts are assumed final before I start work. However, I understand the need to make a few minor tweaks to words or sentences after hearing a full read. I include 2 rounds of pickups in my quote. Subsequent pickups, and major script rewrites after the first read, of a paragraph or more, will be subject to a charge.
What genres do you cover?
Commercial, corporate narration, explainer, documentary, brand anthem, and audiobook narration. The demo library has one of each.
